Good evening. I try to find out the registration details of 1, Keetons Hill, Sheffield, S2 4NW. However, it showed No information available. Is that means this land is not registered? I need to help as soon as possible. Many thanks. Regards

Hi Three

Interestingly enigmatic

Nimbus Maps shows "Land at Keetons Hill" registered under title no  SYK394092 (Freehold) to  GEORGE BARLOW & SONS LIMITED (00106294)

(00106294) is the company number of HSBC Trust Company Ltd !

But  GEORGE BARLOW & SONS LIMITED with the registered number  03442071 has a registered office at ! Keetons Hill

It is a £2 company with one director.  Accounts indicate that it has not traded for many years.

It has applied for winding up and Companies House has given notice that it will be struck off on 22/12/2019 unless reason to the contrary is shown.  If that happens its property goes to the Queen as bona vacantia

Good luck

John

Good morning

Thank you for your quick response. Actually, I have a case with this landholder. I tried to find out the post code S2 4NW on landregisty, there are 2 land address under it. One is SYK394092, I can download it. And there is another address which is 1, Keetons Hill, Sheffield, S2 4NW. The system showed that No information available. But the solicitor from landholder sent a copy of SYK418180 to me. I want to find this one as well, but I can't. Can you find the SYK418180 on this site, please? Many thanks

Regards

Three - no. The online service matches addresses against a registered title. If an address does not match then it may mean the property is unregistered but it could be but it’s registered description is different from the address searched.

You can try the Map Enquiry option and locate it using the aerial imagery. If that reveals nothing then it increases the odds that it is unregistered.
To be 100% certain you’d need to do a postal search of the index map  https://www.gov.uk/get-information-about-property-and-land/search-the-index-map
