Debbie - if you are searching by title number then that title must be a closed one, so no longer exists. Why are you searching with that number please?

Thank you Adam.  The title number is shown on a title plan for a piece of land that has been transferred out of our title deed to another owner.  We need to see if any access rights were kept or given on that title deed DN354014 to our retained land (deed).  Hope that makes sense. Thanks for any advice.

Debbie - understood. I suspect it's now registered under another title now. Have you checked using Map Enquiry for example?
And if rights were included when it was transferred out I'd expect them to appear on your own title?

Debbie - that DU title does exist still but relates to a Leasehold tenure so is it correct?

Hi Adam,  It is a DN title and not DU so I think that's a different title from the one I am looking for.  I suspect that it has indeed been registered under another title now.  However, do you happen to know if a transfer document is kept on record at the Land Registry (or elsewhere) - the transfer that was made for DN354014 in 1995 is really important for us to find as it may mention rights of access.  Thank you so much for your help. Debbie

Debbie - profuse apologies. That DN title was closed a little later in 1995 and the registration continued under DN155762. The closed title referred to the 1995 Transfer but makes no mention of access rights. It only refers to it in the context of a party boundary and it's maintenance.

If it had referred to rights then I would have expected those to have been mentioned as well. And as mentioned the rights would have been referred to on your own title, if that is the one out of which it was originally transferred

If you want to apply for a copy then you can by post - the Transfer is dated 27.2.1995. https://www.gov.uk/get-information-ab...

Thank you Adam.  Do you mean that a copy of the Transfer is obtainable from Land Registry or do you mean just the Title deeds?  Many thanks for your patience! Debbie

Debbie - we should have a copy in the paper records but we will only check if you apply for a copy. If we haven't got it then the fee is refunded. You should apply under the DN title I gave you but quote the DN title you quoted for the filed under title on the form OC2.
